Program Description

SmartieSports: Outdoors! (15 months+) is an outdoor, high-energy class designed especially for younger toddlers to get moving, learning, and having FUN in the park! Each class kicks off with a Move it Move it Warm Up Dance and a game of Smartie Says. Next, the kids learn a “sport of the day” where little ones are introduced to the basics through simple, engaging stations. Using fun, familiar SmartieGym equipment brought outside, children build coordination, confidence, and early teamwork skills through active play. We always include a mix of obstacle courses, races, parachute games, and end with a sweet “good game” moment – complete with handshakes, big smiles, and a Smartie sticker. Jerseys on, let’s play!

PARK LOCATIONS: We will meet in a park at specific meeting point, which is designated on each class page.

APPAREL: Smartiepants will provide jerseys to be worn each class. Make sure your child is wearing sunscreen + a hat! Bring your own water bottle.

We reserve the right to cancel a program due to insufficient enrolment (you will receive a full refund).
If your child is absent from a class, we are unable to provide makeup classes or credits/refunds – Up to 1 free drop-in per session, per child may be offered at our discretion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer make-ups or refunds for missed classes?

Whenever a class is missed, we’ll automatically add a complementary drop-in play credit to your account – no need to request it or reach out. To use your credit, simply log into your account at smartiepants.ca, head to smartiepants.ca/dropins, choose a time that works for your family, and proceed to checkout. Your credit will be applied automatically. Please note that we aren’t able to offer makeup classes, refunds, or credits for missed sessions beyond this drop-in play pass, but we hope you find a drop-in play time that works for you soon! These passes do not expire.

My child will be in daycare or school during the week – is it still worth registering?

Absolutely! We have BRAND NEW weekend classes designed just for families who can’t join us during the week. Check out SmartieSports+Yoga and SmartieGLOW offered on Saturday’s!

Plus, we also offer Drop-In Play packs and host magical birthday parties so your little one can still enjoy all the Smartiepants fun on weekends or special occasions!

My child isn’t exactly in the age range listed – can they still join?

Absolutely! The ages listed are just gentle guidelines. If your Smartie is a bit younger or older and the class feels like the right fit, we’d love to have them. Our instructors are great at adjusting for each child’s stage and confidence level.

We’ll be away for part of this session – should we wait until next time?

No need to miss out! You’ve got 3 options:
1) Purchase the class that works best for you & let us know when your vacation is once you’ve registered. We will credit you for the classes missed.
2) Email us closer to the session start date – and if a class is not full, we may be able to pro-rate it for you.
3) Purchase a Drop-in Play Pack and come to drop-in play times when you’re in town!

What if my child’s nap schedule changes or a class time no longer works?

We’re super flexible! If your schedule shifts, just reach out – we’ll do our best to move you into another class. And if nothing fits, we’ll place a credit on your account for future use. We know routines change, and we want Smartiepants to fit into your family’s rhythm – not the other way around.

Can I sign up for one-off classes/pro-rated session?

All of our programs run in sessions (same class, same time each week), but if spots are still open once the session starts, we may be able to offer a pro-rated spot or a one-off trial. Just shoot us an email and we’ll do our best to fit you in!

What’s your policy if we need to cancel our class session?

Life happens (and so do nap changes)! If you need to cancel your session for any reason, we’ll pop a credit on your account that never expires. You can use it anytime – for a future session, drop-in play, or even a Smartie birthday party.

Do classes repeat or change each session?

The structure stays the same for comfort and routine, but themes, songs, and activities change every session – so there’s always something new for your Smartie to explore!

Can caregivers switch week by week?

Of course! We know it takes a village! As long as everyone’s listed on your account, they’re welcome to join the fun. Just give us a heads-up and introduce yourself when you enter so we can say hi by name!

Can siblings or babies tag along to a class?

We get it – sometimes you’ve got an extra sidekick in tow! 👶 Babies are welcome to tag along in a carrier or bucket seat during caregiver classes. Once they’re on the move, though, they’ll need their own spot (since grown-ups need to keep eyes on their enrolled Smartie). If you’re ever in a bind – say a sibling’s home from school – just shoot us an email and we’ll do our best to make it work!

My child is over 3 years old, are there classes for older kids now?

Yes! We’re thrilled to introduce SmartieAdventures (drop off), where kids explore weekly missions in art, nature, heart health, and more. AND for children 4 years + we also offer SmartieArtists and Social Butterflies (both drop off) – creative, confidence-building classes that grow right alongside your little learner.

Do I have to email if I am going to miss a class?

ou don’t need to email us if you’re going to miss a class. Just remember to log into your account within 24 hours after the class ends to claim your Drop-In Play Pass.
